ST KILDA FILM FESTIVAL NATIONAL TOUR
The St Kilda Film Festival is one of Australia 's pre-eminent short film festivals, held over one week in June in Melbourne , screening 100 of the best short films made by Australian filmmakers. Sixteen “Best of the Fest” films are then chosen, along with a great selection of eighteen music videos from the SoundKILDA showcase, to take to the road for the St Kilda Film Festival National Tour which screens in Canberra , Brisbane , Adelaide , Perth , Hobart and Sydney .
Tsuki was responsible for the National Publicity and Promotions campaign for the 2007 St Kilda Film Festival National Tour , targeting national and state media in every capital city visited by the tour.
The Publicity and Promotions campaign helped to successfully grow awareness for the Festival on a national scale, and established the National Tour as a “Must See” event on the film festival circuit around the country. Key interviews with local filmmakers and the Festival Director were organised in every state newspaper including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph, The Canberra Times, The Brisbane Courier-News, The West Australian, The Mercury (Hobart) and The Advertiser ( Adelaide ) as well as radio, local press, street press and online communities.
The St Kilda Film Festival showcases Australian filmmakers and successfully contributes to building a strong Australian film industry. By actively and positively supporting upcoming filmmakers, the Festival creates a focus point in the calendar for filmmakers and film lovers alike. The St Kilda Film Festival National Tour is extends this experience to the rest of the country, and Tsuki is extremely proud to work with the Festival to take that message on the road.
