Darkness II Premieres at Oxford Art Factory

Tonight Thursday 19th January Tsuki will be holding the premiere for 2K's highly anticipated game, The Darkness II, giving players the opportunity to experience quad-wielding combat and twisted storytelling before the game's release on February 10, 2012. Game players around the world have been looking forward to The Darkness II since the release of its predecessor in 2007, which sold more than a million units worldwide.

Co-hosted by 2K and Insert Coins, the night will feature video games, 80s DJs, custom made milkbar serving alcoholic milkshakes and candy, a New York style hot dog vendor and live video game art. The game's Lead Producer Seth Olshfski is flying in from the US, Queensland artist, Benjamin Reeves will create a customised Darkness mural and street artists Sprinkle and Creon will be spray painting live video game art.

What a fabulous start to the new year with new clients, familiar faces and exciting campaigns on the horizon. The Tsuki crew are back, feeling refreshed and revitalised and ready to hit the ground running.

We kick started 2012 with our own Tsuki seminar sharing the love we usually reserve for clients on the Tsuki brand.

Over intense conversation, debate and laughter the Tsuki team tackled goal setting, both personally and professionally, discovered the unique personal orientation of each individual and the company holistically and shared the vision for Tsuki 2012. After a delicious lunch we continued into the afternoon sharing insights into billing efficiency, time management, resource management and discussing learnings from articles on ‘The Author Mentality', ‘Putting Customers Ahead' and ‘Key Qualities for Sales Success'.

This Christmas Tsuki will be donating to the Children's Charity Network ‘Books for Kids' program.

We are proud to say our donation of $500 will provide 65 new books to children across Australia, through collaborations with schools, social service agencies, preschools and early childhood centres.

The MyState BOFA Film Festival opens tomorrow in Launceston, Tasmania, with some of Australia's most respected and well known filmmakers and actors to appear at the gala opening night. Festival guests include Gregor Jordan (Ned Kelly; Two Hands), Producer Vincent Sheehan (The Hunter; Animal Kingdom; Little Fish), Director Michael Rymer (Angel Baby; Face to Face; Battlestar Galactica) and Director Rowan Woods (Little Fish; The Boys; Farscape). Industry guests will be chauffeured in vintage motor cars to the glamorous black tie event and will be welcomed by a string quartet and Taiko drums as they walk the red carpet. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with the film industry crowd as they enjoy cocktails, entertainment and fine Tasmanian food and wines.

Revel in the nostalgia and optimism of summers passed with a new body of work by Sydney artist Lucy Barker. Barker's latest solo exhibition, entitled Lifestyles of the Neither Rich Nor Famous opens at Maitland Regional Gallery, 11 November 2011, and runs until 19 February 2012. The exhibition takes the iconic outdoor folding chair from 1950s Australia and uses the vintage chair webbing and colourful cross hatching to bring landscapes to life, including a 2m high by 6m wide sunrise.

On November 1st, Sydney Film School will explore the topic: ‘Visual Literacy: the value of teaching film in high schools’.

The influence film and video have on today’s youth has raised concerns about the kind of attitudes this can instil. Challenging these concerns, Sydney Film School have invited an experienced education and creative arts panel who will argue that the problem is not so much with the quantity of films and videos that young people watch but with the passive, indiscriminating nature of so much of their viewing and with the quality of the films they choose to watch.

The most recent initiative that saw the brand taken outside of its core automotive space included a live segment on the Mornings with Kerri-Anne show.

Organisers of The Sun-Herald Sydney Family Show said more than 1000 people came through the gates at Moore Park in the first hour on open day, Saturday 9 April.

Sydney's premiere family event, opened to packed audiences keen to experience the 1065 Animal Nursery, meet the Sydney Swans and get up close and personal with Crocodile Encounters. Last Friday the Tsuki team ‘walked the talk’ by investing in our own Tsuki ‘Making Waves’ Brand Seminar. Every day we inject our energy into making our clients a success. Once a year, Tsuki turns this onto our own brand and looks at ways we can harness our individual strengths as a team to create success around Tsuki. Building on the skills and techniques employed in our Making Waves workshops, the Tsuki team spent the day learning about the business model behind a PR agency; understanding how each person contributes to brand development for a service agency; ways to improve time and resource management; as well as looking at how we could take advantage of the growing power of PR across social media outlets like Twitter and blogging. The successful day was topped off with champagne and ‘de rigueur’ networking activities - a great way to end the week and a fantastic way to start the year! Here’s to making serious waves for Tsuki.

Sixty40 was engaged by The Bridge to showcase one of Australia’s favourite classic ice-creams, Bulla Splits, and to conjure up all the goodness of a great Aussie summer. Just in time for Australia Day, Sixty40’s fifteen second television commercial will screen to viewers across the nation, conjuring up childhood memories of carefree days and ice-cream at the beach. The subscription television industry’s peak body, the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA) announced today that Jeremy Darroch, Chief Executive of British Sky Broadcasting Group (BSkyB) will deliver the platform keynote at the ASTRA 2011 Conference on 29 March 2011. BSkyB was recently voted Britain’s fourth most admired company in a survey by Management Today magazine.

Darroch joins confirmed ASTRA 2011 Conference speaker - Anne Sweeney, Co-Chair, Disney Media Networks and President, Disney/ABC Television Group, who, in December 2010, was for the second year in a row named the Most Powerful Woman in Entertainment by The Hollywood Reporter.

Volvo combines style and safety in the S60

Volvo Cars’ Senior Safety Advisor, Thomas Broberg, flew out from Sweden last week to demonstrate Volvo’s world-class Pedestrian Avoidance Technology across Australia. Broberg travelled the nation showing the media how the technology worked in the all-new S60 model, allowing drivers to reduce the likelihood of injuring a pedestrian by up to 85 percent.
