We’re helping Dov Kornits of FILMINK Magazine raise awareness about World Down Syndrome Day with a special screening of the new Australian documentary, Dance Like Nobody’s Watching, and Tropfest-winning short film, Be My Brother.  Both films will be screened on March 22 at the Cremorne Orpheum Cinema, Cremorne Sydney, with all proceeds going to Down Syndrome NSW.

Back to school: is your child safely immunised?

As everyone gears up for the new school year, making sure that your child is safely immunised is one of the top priorities for many concerned parents.

As a new Mum myself, I've absorbed all the recent reports urging parents to check their child's immunisations with a new level of ‘slightly-over-protective-new-mum' fervour. But I'll be one of the first to admit that even though I have my trusty blue book, it's often sitting in the bottom draw when I need it most.

YourChildsHealthRecord.com has heard our cries, and after months in development with Tsuki, have just this week released a clever little free Google gadget, which allows parents to create a customised immunisation schedule for your child. Best of all, it also lets you store this online, so that you never have to worry about wading through masses of paper files. Plus with my iphone, I have it at my finger tips when I need it.

I love this unique site. It's as easy as grocery shopping online and internet banking, only it's for something much more important, my child's health.

Isabel Lucas returns home for Daybreakers premiere

Isabel Lucas celebrates the Australian premiere of her debut feature film role in the vampire movie, Daybreakers. The action/horror flick includes co-stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe and Sam Neil in a futuristic drama where vampires rule planet earth. Thankfully, Isabel's character is human - and her role is to protect the human race.

Daybreakers opens nationally on 4 February 2010.
